dear internet stranger,

i wish you the absolute best in life.

i hope all of your dreams come true, i hope you achieve everything you set your heart on, i hope you look back one day with pride at what you’ve accomplished and no regret at what might have been.

but most importantly-- worlds more importantly than anything you accomplish-- i hope you live a life full of joy and happiness and wonder. i hope you see beauty easily and experience novelty freely, i hope you see all of the world’s vibrant colors and traverse as much of this pale blue dot as you possibly can. i hope you breathe fresh sea air and walk through fields of wildflowers and hear the sounds of birds chirping in the morning. i hope you hike through forests and swim through oceans and stand in awe watching an aurora borealis unfold miraculously under a sky full of stars.

have you ever asked yourself, “what’s the point of it all?”

the point is the morning light through your window. the salt air. the wildflowers. the aurora if you’re lucky enough to catch one.

the point is to see things. to feel things. to stand under stars and walk through wildflowers and let yourself be amazed by this world.

i hope you live life to the fullest, because-- in the wise words of someone’s grandma-- we come here to live, and that is all that is asked of us.
